House Intelligence Committee Chairman Slams Those Claiming Alleged Intel Leaker Is A Hero

The 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guard member accused of leaking classified U.S. intelligence is a” hero ,” according to Rep. Mike Turner( R-OH ), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who also claimed that he broke his oath to the United States and is” a traitor.”

Turner made the comments on” Face the Nation” on CBS News on Sunday as he spoke with server Margaret Brennan about the pinch of Jack Teixeira, who was taken into custody soon last year.

Brennan observed that a small group of conservatives, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene( R – GA ), attempted to portray Teixeira as the hero, tweeting,” Jake Texeira is white, male, Christian, and antiwar.” He now opposes the Biden administration as a result. Additionally, he was honest about the presence of soldiers in Ukraine and many other things. Who is the true evil, you ask? A small, inexperienced regional guardsman? or the government that is at war with radioactive Russia without combat power in Ukraine, a non-NATO country?

Turner retorted that” let’s’s be clear, there are no U.S. troops on the ground in Ukraine, other than the troops that are typically at an embassy, protecting the Embassy ,” in his response. There are no boots on the ground for us.

There are no troops on the ground. Therefore, he continued,” It is categorically incorrect to assume that this person leaked based on the information. The other point is that if he goes through this process and is found guilty, it will be of spy and a traitor to your place.

He continued,” That’s’s not someone to look up to.” ” That is a person who has compromised both his nation and our friends. He did not take that vow. That wasn’t the position he accepted.
