House GOP accuse surgeon general of colluding with Big Tech to censor Americans

House Republicans have accused U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy of colluding with Big Tech to censor medical information. On Friday, Reps. Bob Gibbs (R-Ohio) and Byron Donalds (R-N.Y.) demanded Murthy provide documents and communications regarding efforts to remove opinions and medical information online.
The Republican lawmakers wrote “it is clear that the Biden administration’s goal is to actively censor the American people.” Recently, Joe Biden even insisted that social media misinformation was “killing people.”
The White House secretly working with Big Tech to censor social media is proof that the Democrats don’t want opposing voices to have the ability to speak.

Their push back comes as White House officials have ramped up efforts to remove coronavirus information from social media platforms they deem as misinformation.
