I was the last person off ⁣the‍ House floor on that day, and I saw what happened. And‌ for people to come down here and defend⁢ actions, it is pathetic​ and‍ disgusting,” he added.

McGovern, ‍who had personally experienced the events ​of Jan. 6, found it ironic to be lectured by Greene. He emphasized⁢ the hypocrisy of her ‍stance and condemned her ⁣support for the insurrectionists.

On ⁣the same day, the House of ‌Representatives took ⁢a step closer⁣ to censuring ‍Bowman when it rejected a ‍Democratic attempt to table the motion. If censured, Bowman would join the ranks of Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI)‍ as the ​third House Democrat to face censure this year.
