House Dem candidate denies man arrested by ICE works for campaign
A political campaign for Janelle Stelson, a Democrat challenging Rep. Scott Perry in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, has denied any connection to an individual who was recently arrested for public indecency. The individual, Chimaobim Igbojekwe, a Nigerian national, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after being accused of exposing himself in public. The campaign emphasized that there is no association between this incident and Stelson’s efforts.
The campaign of Janelle Stelson, the Democrat challenging Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) in Pennsylvania’s battleground 10th Congressional District, denied Wednesday that an alleged illegal immigrant who pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after allegedly exposing himself in public was associated with her campaign.
Chimaobim Adedayo Igbojekwe, a 35-year-old Nigerian national, was arrested Sept. 27 on one count of indecent exposure and two counts of disorderly conduct. He has since pleaded guilty to one third-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct after the other two charges were dropped. He was arrested Oct. 1 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
