Hollywood Propaganda Demands a Warning Label

Hollywood progressives routinely do the Democrats’ bidding.

Think the wall-to-wall activism on behalf of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in 2016 and 2020, respectively.

The industry promotes progressive causes across the board, from liberal documentaries (Michael Moore’s film canon) to pro-abortion dramas (“Plan B,” “Obvious Child,” “Unpregnant,” “Grandma,” “Call Jane”).

There’s a new, disturbing part of this trend.

Screenwriters now work directly with activists to shape the stories that flood our TV screens and smart phones. Everytown for Gun Safety infamously supplies experts to storytellers to promote its pro-gun control agenda.

And Hollywood happily plays along.

The same is true regarding the Left’s open borders stance. Define American, created by illegal immigrant Jose Antonio Vargas, coordinates with Hollywood studios to ensure its immigration messages reflect the group’s agenda.

And, once again, Hollywood happily plays along.

The latest example may be the most insidious. Judicial Watch obtained records from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) showing how it colluded with Hollywood to promote COVID-19 vaccine acceptance.

Here’s a sample of its findings:

Vaccine engagement package to all entertainment talent and management agencies Vaccine engagement package to all media companies and show producers Start celebrity Share the Mics Late night hosts vaccination video. Launch Hollywood comedy writers video content. Work with YouTube on an original special about vaccinations targeted to young people (similar to the YouTube’s Dear Call of 2020 special). Request that the major live TV entertainment shows feature hosts being vaccinated on air (ex: the hosts of The Voice). Request that the TV morning and daytime talk shows feature special vaccination reunion moments with everyday Americans talking about what this means to them (ex: hugging grandma for the first time). Request vaccination specials with BET, The Undefeated, Desus & Mero, Sneaker Shopper. Hot Ones. Request a vaccination special with Christian Broadcasting Netflix and Evangelical leaders. Place a trusted messenger on the Joe Rogan Show and Barstool Sports to promote vaccination (work with outside expert to identify who will be most effective) Work with the Hollywood guilds to work vaccination messaging into scriped and reality TV shows (ex: Writers Guild, Directors Guild.)

The documents also reveal extensive attempts to mobilize Big Tech behemoths like TikTok and Instagram to share the Biden vaccine message.

“It seems as if the entire entertainment industry was an agent for the government!” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a statement.

How fruitful were these efforts? It’s hard to share definitive answers, but it doesn’t take much searching to find possible success stories.

Would any Hollywood denizens do the same if the Trump administration made these requests, even though the medicine in question was identical?

Did any money get exchanged along the way?

More importantly, the American public assumes late night comedians and “Saturday Night Live” try to bring laughter, and insight, to nationally recognized issues like vaccines. What they don’t know is they may be being fed information from the U.S. government.
