Hillary Defeated Again: Hulu Passes On ‘Rodham’ After Nearly 2 Years In Development

Hillary Clinton took another loss as Hulu has passed on a show about her that had been in development at the network for nearly two years.

“Rodham” is based on the novel of the same name, which tells the story of an alternate universe in which Hillary does not marry Bill Clinton, but instead serves as a Northwestern University professor before running for president in 2016.

Rodham is a nauseating, moving, morally suggestive, technically brilliant book that made me think more than any other in recent memory about the aims and limits of fiction,” Annalisa Quinn wrote for NPR in 2020 about the Curtis Sittenfeld novel.

“20th Television is still shopping the project to other streamers, now that Claire Danes and Dakota Fanning are attached to play Clinton at different stages of her life,” Variety reported.

Clinton recently pontificated about the possible repeal of Roe v. Wade, lecturing, “None of us should accept a future in which our daughters and granddaughters have fewer rights than we did.”

That prompted harsh replies on social media:

Live Action founder Lila Rose: “You support the slaughter of millions of little girls in the womb. Where were their rights?”

Best-selling author Abigail Shrier: “Hillary Clinton has said *nothing* as violent men enter women’s prisons and protective spaces, female records are erased by mediocre male athletes, and a generation of young women watches their opportunities and scholarships vanish.”

On Tuesday, opening arguments were expected to be presented in the trial of former Clinton attorney Michael Sussmann, who is charged with making a false statement to the FBI.

According to Special Counsel John Durham, Sussmann told FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016 that he was not doing work “for any client” when he shared Alfa Bank data supposedly showing a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.

Prosecutors will reportedly attempt to show that Sussmann was in reality acting on behalf of two clients — the Clinton campaign and tech executive Rodney Joffe.

“Subpoenaed Fusion GPS employee Laura Seago is likely to stay mum during questioning at the criminal trial of Michael Sussmann that starts this week,” The Federalist noted. “Her silence will be yet further evidence that the Hillary Clinton campaign financed and seeded the Russia collusion hoax to both the press and U.S. intelligence agencies.”

“The jury includes one federal government employee who told the judge they donated to Democrats in 2016 and another government employee who told the judge they ‘strongly’ dislike former President Trump—both of those jurors told the judge they could be impartial throughout the trial,” Fox News noted.
