While blue cities are calling for federal assistance to deal with the influx of illegal immigrants, Texas is taking matters into its own hands to at least slow down the flow.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently shared a video on social media showcasing the ongoing construction of a border wall.

Governor Abbott has been vocal about Texas’ efforts to combat illegal immigration. In a previous post, he mentioned the installation of fencing along the New Mexico border to prevent migrants from entering through El Paso.
Abbott also provided an update on “Operation Lone Star,” the state’s initiative that has resulted in the apprehension of thousands of illegal immigrants and the seizure of a significant amount of fentanyl.
While Texas takes action, New York City is still waiting for a federal solution. Mayor Eric Adams expressed his disappointment in the lack of support from the president and the White House.
As Texas continues to invest in its security, Republican state Rep. Jacey Jetton has filed a bill to allocate additional funds for the border wall project.
