Gov. Greg Abbot Delivered ‘Dozens’ Of Illegal Immigrants Right In Front Of Fox, NBC DC Headquarters

“Dozens” of illegal immigrants sent from Texas ended up on the doorstep of Fox News’ headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday morning, allowing the outlet to get prime shots of the drop-off.

The bus arrived just blocks away from the nation’s Capitol building around 8:00 a.m., according to Fox News. The exact location was also directly in front of the news outlet’s D.C. headquarters, which is also home to NBC and C-SPAN.

In a Wednesday morning segment, Fox acknowledged it got “exclusive” footage. (RELATED: White House Admits The Border Crisis Is About To Get A Lot Worse)

The migrants reportedly came from Texas’ Del Rio area after having made their way to the U.S. from the countries of Venezuela, Nicaragua, Colombia and Cuba, according to Fox News. Migrants exited the bus and checked in with officials before being released, according to the outlet.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) said several buses were sent over the weekend to communities along the southern border, according to the report. Each bus is reportedly equipped to handle 40 migrants.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott announced in early April that he would charter buses to send migrants from Texas to Washington, D.C., as a preemptive response to the expected border surge once Title 42 ends.

“To help local officials, whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden Administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden Administration to Washington, D.C.,” Abbott said during a press conference.

Title 42 is a Trump-era public health order used to quickly expel migrants to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the policy would end May 23.
