GOP Rep Urges States to Consider Secession
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls for States to Consider Secession
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia made a bold statement on Monday, suggesting that secession could be a viable option if the Biden administration fails to address the border crisis.
If the Biden admin refuses to stop the invasion of cartel led human and drug trafficking into our country, states should consider seceding from the union.
From Texas to New York City to every town in America, we are drowning from Biden’s traitorous America last border policies.

Greene expressed her concerns about the current border situation, stating that the nation is suffering from the consequences of Biden’s policies. She emphasized the need for action, suggesting that states should consider secession as a means to protect their interests.
This is not the first time Greene has advocated for a division within the nation. In a previous statement, she called for a “national divorce” between red and blue states, highlighting the desire to reduce the influence of the federal government.
We need a national divorce.
We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government.
Everyone I talk to says this.
From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are…

Greene’s comments have sparked a debate about the future of the nation. Some argue that a “national divorce” would only perpetuate division, while others believe it could protect their way of life.
In a Fox News interview, Greene clarified that she does not want to see a civil war but believes that action needs to be taken to address the growing divide in the country.
She reiterated her stance on social media, stating that those who oppose the idea of a “national divorce” inadvertently make the case for it. Greene emphasized the need for change and the protection of their way of life.
People saying national divorce is a bad idea because the left will never stop trying to control us literally make the case for national divorce.
We don’t want a civil war.
We’re not surrendering.
We’re tired of complaining with no change and want to protect our way of life.— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (@RepMTG) February 22, 2023
Greene’s views on division extend beyond secession. In a previous tweet, she suggested implementing a waiting period for individuals moving from blue states to red states, in order to protect the values of the latter.
All possible in a National Divorce scenario.
After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida.
Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY really need a cooling off period. https://t.co/NB2dVj7n2X— Marjorie Taylor Greene (@mtgreenee) December 29, 2021
While Greene’s statements have garnered attention and support from some, others remain skeptical about the feasibility and consequences of such actions.
In a Twitter poll conducted by Greene, nearly 48 percent of respondents rejected the idea of splitting the country, while 43 percent supported it, and the rest were undecided.
As the debate continues, Greene’s call for states to consider secession has ignited discussions about the future of the nation and the potential consequences of such a division.
