GOP anti-Piker stance struggles to resonate with Michigan voters
Controversy surrounds Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, who has been used by Republicans to criticize Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul el Sayed. Despite efforts to associate Piker with the candidate, a recent poll indicates many voters remain unaware of who Piker is. While Piker appeared with el Sayed prior to the primary, Republican Mike Rogers has launched several advertisements highlighting Piker’s proximity to el Sayed to portray the Democratic candidate as dangerous for Michigan.
