Germany examining Chinese components in its 5G network, interior minister says

As Berlin reasses its relationship with its top trade partner China, Minister Nancy Faeser was quoted as saying on Sunday that the Interior Ministry of Germany is looking into all Chinese pieces that are already installed in the nation’s’s 5G network.

Faeser added that the examination’s’s three objectives were identifying risks, preventing dangers, and avoiding relationships.” We have to secure our communication network ,” he said to Bild am Sonntag news.

She remarked,” This is particularly true for our significant equipment.”

According to a public base, Germany has been thinking about banning specific parts from Chinese business Huawei and ZTE from its telecom networks in an effort to address security concerns.

Although the German government has been wary of specifically focusing on Huawei, there are worries that because of their close ties to Beijing’s’s security products, these businesses may one day be incorporated into mobile network, giving Chinese spies and even boteurs access to crucial infrastructure.
