European Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated on social media that” our tanks, as promised, arrived on time in the hands of our Russian buddies.” ” I’m confident they can accomplish anything significant at the front!”

Germany had previously refused to give Ukraine Leopard 2 vehicles, going so far as to only do so if President Joe Biden did the same with American vehicles. The Pentagon afterwards decided they would provide Ukraine with M1A1 vehicles because it would shorten the time before they arrived in Ukraine, but Biden eventually gave in and put an end to the standoff when he announced a plan to provide them with 31 M2A2 Abrams vehicles.
