Garth Brooks sells Bud Light at bar and discusses diversity and inclusivity.

Garth Brooks Doubles Down on Selling Bud Light at His Nashville Bar

Country singer Garth Brooks is standing firm on his decision to sell Bud Light at his bar, despite the recent boycott against the beer brand following its partnership with trans-identifying male Dylan Mulvaney.

During his Facebook show “Garth Brooks: Inside Studio G,” Brooks addressed the controversy and emphasized his commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

Brooks explained that as a bar owner, it’s not his decision to make which brands of beer to serve. He emphasized that it’s the patrons who ultimately decide what sells and what doesn’t.

“But the truth is, it’s those people in those seats that make those decisions,” Brooks continued. “And that’s what ‘Friends in Low Places’ is going to be. So, here’s the deal man, you want to come into ‘Friends in Low Places,’ come in with love. Come in with tolerance, patience, forgiveness. Come in with an open mind.”

Brooks closed out the video by stating that if you can’t come in with those qualities, then there are plenty of other places to go.

Creating a Safe Space

During Brooks’ recent appearance on Billboard’s Country Live in Conversation, he took a shot at other bar owners who have supported the boycott.

“Yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer,” the singer said. “We just are. It’s not our decision to make. If you come into this house, love one another. If you’re an a**hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.”

“In my existence, one a**hole can turn the whole tide down there,” he added. “My thing is, let’s create a place that you feel safe in.”

Conclusion

Garth Brooks is not backing down on his decision to sell Bud Light at his bar. He believes in diversity and inclusiveness and wants to create a safe space for all patrons. If you can’t come in with love, tolerance, patience, and forgiveness, then there are plenty of other places to go.
