Gaetz could face same expulsion threat as Santos once House Ethics drops report: McCarthy
McCarthy Suggests Gaetz Could Face Expulsion Threat
Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) hinted that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) might be in hot water, just like Rep. George Santos (R-NY), once the House Ethics Committee releases its report on him. McCarthy made these remarks during an appearance on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures, where he discussed House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) proposed continuing resolution.
“I think Johnson was very smart about ensuring our troops get paid, especially those in the Mediterranean,” McCarthy stated. “Unfortunately, we had some members who were obstructing the progress of bills, just like before.”
McCarthy emphasized the need for unity and expressed his belief that Gaetz’s ethics complaint could lead to similar consequences as Santos. He suggested that the conference would be better off united to move forward and address the issues at hand.
Gaetz, along with seven other GOP colleagues, previously attempted to remove McCarthy from his position in October. The tension between Gaetz and McCarthy has been ongoing, with Gaetz blocking McCarthy’s bid for speakership earlier this year. McCarthy argues that Gaetz’s actions stem from personal grievances related to an ethics inquiry into allegations of sexual misconduct and campaign fund misuse.
House Republicans have called for Gaetz’s removal from Congress due to his campaign against a sitting speaker from his own party, although not specifically related to the ethics investigation. Santos, who has survived previous expulsion votes, is also facing potential expulsion once Congress reconvenes after Thanksgiving recess.
Many members from both parties have refrained from voting on previous expulsion motions, opting to wait for the ethics report before making a decision.

Support of renewable energy.
How does the Public Administration Act contribute to the support of renewable energy in the country?
The Public Administration Act does not directly contribute to the support of renewable energy in the country. The Public Administration Act is a legislation that governs the administration and operation of the public sector in a country. It outlines principles and standards for the public administration, such as transparency, accountability, efficiency, and fairness.
However, there may be other legislation, policies, or initiatives in place that specifically support and promote renewable energy in the country. These could include renewable energy targets, feed-in tariffs, tax incentives, research and development funding, and other measures to promote the adoption and use of renewable energy sources. Such initiatives are typically implemented through sector-specific legislation or policies, rather than through general public administration acts.
