Freedom Caucus Encourages Byron Donalds to Speaker

FIRST ON FOX Fox News Digital has learned that the House Freedom Caucus will nominate Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) to be House speaker during Wednesday’s votes. Two sources confirm this to Fox News Digital.

Fox News Digital received confirmation from Lauren Boebert’s Office, R-Colo., that Donalds would be the pick of caucus members as they fight against Kevin McCarthy of California.

McCarthy needs to lose just four votes to win the speakership. Donalds was among the twenty Republicans who voted in favor of Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio, over the caucus leader Tuesday.
