Fraud scandal most ‘underreported’ story: Joe Concha

The Washington Examiner columnist joe Concha says fraud related to welfare programs is widely and “massively” underreported by legacy media across all 50 states. He argues the issue involves taxpayer funds and is one of the most overlooked stories of the year. Concha also points to the Trump administration’s fraud crackdown efforts, including a task force led by Vice President JD vance, and claims that reducing fraud would benefit local and national economies more effectively than raising taxes. He adds that the most troubling aspect is that stolen or wasted money was meant for services such as autism centers and early childhood education.

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha criticized legacy media for not reporting on welfare fraud across the country.

Concha said the fraud is “widespread” and “massive” in all 50 states on Fox Business’s Evening Edit on Thursday.

“This is one of the most underreported stories in legacy media of the year, and maybe even the decade, because this is taxpayer money that we’re talking about,” he said.

His comments come as the Trump administration prioritizes cracking down on fraud with a task force led by Vice President JD Vance

Concha argued that eliminating fraud would have more of an impact on the economy than increasing taxes.

“If you eliminate the fraud, that will be far better for the economies on a local, state, and even national level than any increased tax ever would,” he said.

DEMOCRATS SHOULD WORK WITH VANCE TO FIGHT FRAUD

Concha said the “sickest part” about fraud is that the money was supposed to be used for welfare programs.

“The sickest part is that all this money was supposed to go towards autism centers, which is a growing crisis — autism is — in this country, or towards education for young children, where our test scores continue to fall, and we continue to be an embarrassment when you compare us to other industrialized countries,” he said.
