Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Announces Launch Of New Show

On Wednesday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson announced a new show set to air starting the beginning of next week.

The program will air in addition to his popular weeknight show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” which has consistently raked in high viewership.

“Tucker Carlson Today,” a video podcast, will air three times a week on Fox News’ “Fox Nation.”

“Freedom of speech is under assault, and while the other media outlets are obsessed with censoring original thought and getting smaller, we are expanding, taking on all topics,” Carlson said Wednesday, Political Insider reported.

“We will not be silenced or canceled,” the host added.

“Tucker Carlson Today” will be “the in-depth, unfiltered conversations that America needs, making sense of the day’s events and taking a deeper dive into the issues we care about, with the clarity you deserve,” Carlson promised.

The new show comes after Fox News announced earlier in the month the addition of former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany as a network contributor.

McEnany was named as former President Donald Trump’s press secretary in April 2020, replacing Stephanie Grisham. McEnany, before her time as press secretary, had served as Trump’s campaign spokeswoman.

At the beginning of the year, the network announced a big shakeup in their lineup, most notably the move of news anchor Martha MacCallum’s 7 p.m. program “The Story” to the 3 p.m. slot. The move was finalized on Jan. 18.

“As we kick off a new year, we are excited to announce new changes to our schedule,” said a statement from Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott, according to a press release obtained by Mediaite. “We have the best-in-class anchors, interviewers, reporters and talent in all of news media. This new powerful lineup ensures FOX News Media will continue to deliver outstanding coverage for our viewers who depend on the most trusted names in the business.”

“Kicking off the new schedule will be a new two-hour edition of America’s Newsroom (9AM-11AM/ET) with its founding anchor Bill Hemmer, who will relaunch the program he originally helmed since 2007, now joined by co-anchor Dana Perino,” the release said. “Harris Faulkner will move to 11 AM/ET with The Faulkner Focus, followed by the network’s signature midday roundtable show Outnumbered (12-1 PM/ET).”

From 1-3 p.m., reporter John Roberts earned a stop as co-anchor to Sandra Smith for a new two-hour news program called “America Reports.”

The lineup, per the release, looks as follows:

9-11 AM/ET – America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer & Dana Perino
11 AM/ET – The Faulkner Focus
12-1 PM/ET – Outnumbered
1-3 PM/ET – America Reports with John Roberts & Sandra Smith
3-4 PM/ET – The Story with Martha MacCallum
4-5 PM/ET – Your World with Neil Cavuto
5-6 PM/ET – The Five
6-7 PM/ET – Special Report with Bret Baier
7-8 PM/ET – FOX News Primetime
