Fox News changes weekend prime-time schedule, Lawrence Jones maintains high ratings.

Fox News Shakes Up Weekend Prime-Time Lineup

Lawrence Jones Cross Country will hold steady in its Saturday night spot as one of the network’s strongest weekend prime-time shows.

Fox News is making some changes to its weekend prime-time lineup, but Lawrence Jones Cross Country will remain a staple on Saturday nights. Jones made history as the youngest black solo host of a cable news program when he debuted his show at 9 p.m. on Saturdays last January. Since then, he has consistently drawn in about 1 million viewers and 90,000 viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic, according to recent ratings reports.

Meet Lawrence Jones

Jones joined Fox News in 2018 and has worked as a guest host, enterprise reporter for Fox & Friends, and contributor on Hannity with man-on-the-street-style interview segments. Despite his success, Jones remains humble and focused on his love for people. “I thought I wanted to be in elected office one day, and now I really despise politicians. I get to interview them. And so, you know, I love my job,” he told the Dallas Morning News.

Other shows that will remain in their respective time slots include Brian Kilmeade’s One Nation and Life, Liberty & Levin with Mark Levin on Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. respectively. However, The Next Revolution with Steve Hilton will end its run, effective Saturday, and Trey Gowdy’s Sunday Night in America will move to 9 p.m. Fox News will introduce The Big Weekend Show at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, along with debuting FOX News Saturday Night, which will feature a rotating lineup of hosts at 10 p.m. Sunday’s 10 p.m. slot will see a rotation of topical specials.

Despite the changes, Lawrence Jones Cross Country will continue to be a must-watch show on Fox News. Don’t miss out on Jones’ insightful commentary and interviews with top politicians and newsmakers.
