Ford Slammed For Teaming Up With Chinese Company To Build Batteries: ‘Becoming A National Security Threat’

Ford Motor Company faced backlash this week for moving forward with a project to collaborate with a Chinese company to build batteries in Michigan for the automaker’s electric vehicles.

One Michigan Republican strategist indicated that Republican legislators in the state should be ready to deny Ford tax incentives due to the negative effects that doing business with communist China could have on the state.

“Ford is seeking close to a billion dollars in tax incentives from the State of Michigan,” According to the strategist. “That’s a billion dollars that will directly benefit the Chinese Communist Party. Republican lawmakers in Michigan should understand that this is an issue that will get national attention.”

The news comes as a result of a Chinese spy ball being shot down by a U.S. aircraft after it traveled across the country, passing close to sensitive U.S. military installations.
