Footage: Mob of Illegal Aliens Attacks Police Officers with Rocks, Other Objects
A video depicting illegal immigrants clashing wiht French police has gained widespread attention, fueling debates on immigration beyond France. The footage shows migrants on a small boat attempting to cross the English Channel to the UK,throwing objects at police as they approach. French authorities responded with pepper spray and cut the boat’s rubber to prevent the crossing. The incident highlights the ongoing flow of migrants and the effectiveness of the France-UK deal, in which Britain pays France to curb crossings-though recent data shows an increase in triumphant crossings despite the payments. UK officials claim the deal is making an impact by decreasing the total number of migrants arriving, while opposition groups argue that the crisis persists and criticize government spending and policies. some UK politicians propose stricter measures, including deploying the Royal Navy to stop migrant boats before they reach British shores, though this faces opposition from French officials. the situation remains complex, with differing perspectives on the effectiveness of current efforts to manage illegal crossings.
A video of illegal immigrants battling French police has become fodder in the debate over illegal immigration well beyond French borders.
The undated footage shows a small boat packed with illegal immigrants in life jackets trying to leave the coast of northern France to travel to the United Kingdom.
As police close in, occupants of the boat throw what appear to be rocks and anything else they could lay their hands on in an effort to drive back the officers.
Police sprayed the occupants with pepper spray and slashed the rubber boat to prevent it from trying to cross the English Channel.

The skirmish is bringing new attention to a deal between France and the U.K. in April in which Britain pays France £660 million (or about $770 million at Friday’s exchange rate) to stop these attempts.
Whether the deal is working or not depends upon how one looks at the numbers, as noted by the national television network GB News.
During May, June and July, French police stopped 185 boats from crossing the Channel. Meanwhile, 120 boats made the crossing. That is an interception rate of 60.7 percent. It is also a 41 percent increase in apprehensions from the previous three months.
However, in the previous three months, when the weather was colder, French police stopped 131 small boats. During that time, 83 made it to British shores, which amounts to an interception rate of 61.2 percent.
That means the 120 boats that made it through from May to July was actually a 44 percent increase over the previous three months.
British Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, whose responsibilities include protecting the U.K.’s borders and national security, insisted the deal is “already having a real impact, stopping crossings before they happen and disrupting the criminal gangs behind them,” according to GB News.
“People smugglers should be in no doubt, we’re taking down their operations, seizing their equipment and breaking their business model for good,” she said, according to the network.
But the Reform Party, the U.K.’s most powerful opposition party, said the numbers proved that the country’s immigration crisis is continuing.
Reform UK’s Home Affairs representative Zia Yusuf told GB News that, “Shabana Mahmood thinks the British people are stupid.
“The number of migrant boats dodging interception increased by 44 per cent in the three months after Labour agreed to splurge another £662 million of taxpayers’ money on a failing scheme, compared with the three months before the deal,” Yusuf said.
“Thousands of migrants continue, and will continue, to invade our shores unless the Government stops advertising our country as a food bank for the world,” Yusuf said.
‘It’s more important for the leadership to appear virtuous and compassionate than to prevent the destruction of their countries.’

At the beginning of August, Reform Party leader Nigel Farage unveiled a plan, dubbed “Operation Fortress,” that — if Reform ever won national power — would use the Royal Navy and Royal Marines to stop boats carrying illegal migrants before they reach British shores.
“Using Operation Fortress, Reform UK will ensure no boat reaches Britain and that every illegal migrant is detained and deported,” Yusuf told GB News.
According to the U.K. Independent, French officials denounce that idea as “a violation of French sovereignty as well as a violation of maritime law and international law.”
British officials say what they are doing is working, claiming that the total of 15,897 migrants who successfully crossed the Channel to date this year is down 43 percent compared to the same period in 2025 and down 18 percent from 2024.
