Filings Reveal Dem Rep. Clyburn Funneled Six Figures From Campaign Funds to Family Last Cycle

South Carolina According to filings, Democratic Rep. James Clyburn funneled $65,000 worth of campaign money to two members of his family during the 2022 election season.

Filings show that Clyburn received $57,500 from his family to 49 Magnolia Blossom LLC in rent expenses for the last election cycle. This company has close ties with his daughter Jennifer Clyburn Reed.

According to South Carolina business records Walter A Reed, Clyburn Reed’s spouse, is the registered agent. 

Clyburn also paid $94,000 to Walter A.C. Reed in the course of the auction midterm election Cycle for “campaign management fees,” His filings show more.
