Fetterman slams Rand Paul for stalling aid vote

Sen. John Fetterman Slams Sen. Rand Paul for ⁣Holding Up Aid Bill

In a fiery interview with CNN’s Manu Raju, Sen. John Fetterman didn’t hold back his criticism‍ of Sen. Rand Paul. Fetterman called Paul a “prick”⁤ and blamed⁣ him for delaying a bill that would provide military aid to Ukraine, Taiwan, ‌and Israel.

“We’re only here because of just one prick,” ⁤Fetterman said. ‌”And he decides that the rest of ‍all of our schedules⁤ and our lives and holding up this bill getting to the House for ⁢all of this aid. It’s incredibly frustrating, and there’s no work being done. It’s just bad performance art.”

Despite the Senate voting 67-27 to⁣ advance ⁣the $95 billion ⁢aid bill, Paul and other Republicans continue to oppose it.⁤ Paul has been using old establishment chamber rules to slow down the⁤ process.

During an interview, Paul stated, “If it takes a week⁢ or a month, I’ll force⁣ them to stay here to discuss why⁤ they think the border⁢ of Ukraine⁢ is more important than the U.S. border.”

The bill is expected to pass the Senate this week, but Paul wasted no time in criticizing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for his support of Ukraine.

“I can ‌say right now, he doesn’t represent me, or conservatives in Kentucky or conservatives across the⁣ United States. He’s doing ⁤the bidding of Schumer and‌ Biden,” Paul⁤ said.

Senate Republicans have been⁢ vocal in their disapproval of ⁢McConnell’s leadership, particularly regarding a border security bill ⁤that included Ukraine funding. The bill was quickly‌ dismissed⁤ by GOP senators and some Democratic senators.
