Federal Agents Raid Wrong Hotel Room During Training Exercise

A sleeping airline pilot’s Boston‘s hotel room was unknowingly raided by federal officials on Tuesday during a botched training exercise, during which FBI and Defense Department officials handcuffed and questioned the bewildered pilot for nearly an hour.

According to CBS News Boston, the FBI released a statement after the incident and said, “At approximately 10:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the FBI Boston Division was assisting the US Department of Defense in conducting a Department of Defense (DOD) training exercise at a hotel in Boston to simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment. Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player.”
