Family of victims of U.S. drone strike demand apology

The Afghan family of the victims affected by a U.S. strike are calling on the U.S. to issue an apology for killing 10 of their own. On Thursday, the family spoke out against the Biden administration attack, saying it caused great loss of life and property.
A brother of one of those killed said they were “an ordinary family.”
“We are not ISIS or Daesh and this was a family home…where my brothers lived with their families.”
The family has demanded the administration show proof after claiming the attack targeted a suspected suicide bomber. According to reports, several members of the family had Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) and were being processed for extraction when the attack occurred.

“We want the Americans to prove the bad name that they put on us, and if it is true, they should accept that and apologize because we suffered a great loss of life and property,” said Emal Ahmadi, a family member.
The Pentagon has conceded their strike may have killed the family, although an investigation is still ongoing.
