New emails expose Hunter Biden’s role in ousting former Ukrainian prosecutor: Report.
Hunter Biden’s Efforts to Thwart Corruption Investigation Revealed in New Report
In a stunning new report, it has been revealed that Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden, sought the assistance of former members of the Clinton administration to impede a corruption investigation into a Ukrainian energy company that had given him a lucrative board position.
The investigation into Burisma Energy, conducted by Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, was ultimately halted after Joe Biden threatened to withhold U.S. aid unless Shokin was removed from his position.
However, prior to this intervention, Hunter Biden had been actively working to prevent the probe from moving forward. According to emails obtained from his laptop, Hunter reached out to his former law firm, Boies, Schiller, & Flexner, in 2014 to address Burisma’s concerns about the investigation.
He suggested enlisting the help of investigative agency Nardello & Co. to gather intelligence on the individuals involved in the restructuring of the company.
“It would be helpful to gain intelligence on who is leading the restructuring and the individuals being considered for those posts,” Hunter wrote.
“Agreed — that is part of what their human intel sources are seeking to learn,” replied Heather King, a partner at Boies, Schiller, & Flexner.
As the investigation intensified in 2015, Hunter Biden connected Burisma with Blue Star Strategies, a consulting firm run by former Clinton administration officials. In an email from Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi, it was revealed that the ultimate goal of this effort was to prevent any cases or pursuits against Burisma’s owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, in Ukraine.
Pozharskyi expressed concern that there was no written evidence of lobbying the State Department, but an email from Hunter Biden’s business partner confirmed that it was indeed part of the plan.
“I would tell Vadym that this is definitely done deliberately to be on the safe and cautious side and that Sally [Painter, Blue Star COO] and company understand the scope and deliverables,” wrote Eric Schwerin to Hunter Biden.
Despite the efforts to downplay their activities, federal authorities eventually became aware of the lobbying and required Blue Star to file Foreign Agents Registration Act paperwork in 2021.
During a House committee hearing, Hunter Biden’s associate, Devon Archer, testified that he believed Hunter had sought his father’s help in dealing with the pressure they were facing.
“I think they were getting pressure and they requested Hunter help them with some of that pressure,” Archer said. “The request is like, ‘Can DC help?’ It was always this amorphous, ’Can we get help in DC?'”
Shokin himself confirmed in an interview with Fox News that he was fired because of his investigation into Burisma, stating that the pressure to remove him came from then-Vice President Biden.
These revelations raise serious questions about the extent of Hunter Biden’s involvement in attempting to obstruct a corruption investigation and the potential influence his father may have had in these efforts.
