EXCLUSIVE — John Fetterman: ‘MSNBC won’t invite me on’ its network
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) expressed frustration that MSNBC, now rebranded as MS Now, has not invited him to appear on its programs, despite his appearances on other networks like Fox News and CNN. He noted that he has been on Fox at least 56 times and on CNN 13 times as the beginning of the year, but has had limited recent exposure on MS Now.Fetterman questioned why the network refuses to invite a Democratic senator who generally votes along party lines and maintains a high level of support within his party. He also mentioned that he often appears on Fox news, one of President Trump’s moast-cited networks, but did not comment on any private interactions with the president following those appearances. Additionally, Fetterman stated he does not plan to endorse candidates in the 2026 midterm elections, including vulnerable pro-Israel Democrats, and questioned the meaning of endorsements overall.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) says that MS Now, formerly MSNBC, won’t invite him on its programs, though he enjoys going on stations such as Fox News and CNN that “play things straight.”
“I’m on Fox. I’m also very often in CNN, and I’ll be CBS and ABC occasionally too,” Fetterman exclusively told the Washington Examiner in a Wednesday interview. “But I hope you can print: ‘MSNBC won’t invite me on.’”

A recent Washington Examiner analysis found that Fetterman has appeared on Fox News at least 56 times since the start of the year. CNN, meanwhile, has had the Pennsylvania senator on 13 times in the same period. Fetterman has not appeared on MS Now with the same recent frequency.
“I don’t know why,” the freshman senator said. “I mean, I’m a committed Democrat. I’m not sure what their editorial issue is with.”
Fetterman said “it’s really strange” that MS Now does not invite a Senate Democrat who “votes a 90-something percent line here” on the network’s programs.
The Washington Examiner reached out to MS Now for comment.
Fetterman acknowledged that he frequently appears on Fox, one of President Donald Trump’s most-cited networks. Fetterman would not say whether the president has ever called or texted him after one of his appearances on the network.
“That’s the thing that really keeps the glue,” Fetterman said. “I never discuss about private or any kinds of things. So I’m not going to comment on it or anything.”

Fetterman also told the Washington Examiner that he does not plan to make endorsements during the 2026 midterm cycle, even for vulnerable pro-Israel Democrats.
“I mean, endorsements are really overstated,” Fetterman said. “I think people in their respective states have a better idea of what they want. So, like ask Sanders. You know, he got involved, and how did that work out in Maine?”
