Former FBI agent claims Biden team was warned about Hunter interview.
Former FBI Agent Testifies: Bureau Tipped Off Biden Transition Team About Hunter Biden Investigation
A bombshell revelation has emerged from a former FBI agent’s testimony, shedding light on the investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes. According to the agent, the bureau informed President Joe Biden’s transition team about their intention to interview Hunter Biden as part of the investigation.
The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability has released the transcript of a July interview with the former supervisory special agent, which can be found here. The agent confirmed that in December 2020, the FBI notified the Secret Service and then-president-elect Joe Biden’s transition team about the planned interview.
However, the interview never took place, as revealed by the former agent’s testimony. This testimony aligns with that of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, who previously testified before the House Ways and Means Committee in June, stating that the FBI had tipped off the Biden administration. More details on Shapley’s testimony can be found here.
The Biden administration has been under scrutiny for potential misconduct in relation to the Hunter Biden investigation. In July, Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to federal tax charges.
Recently, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed U.S. attorney David Weiss as a special counsel for the investigation. Weiss, who was responsible for the controversial “sweetheart plea deal” initially struck by the Justice Department with Hunter Biden, has faced criticism. The deal fell apart during a July arraignment when the judge refused to accept it, deeming it “not standard” and “different from what I normally see.”
