Ex-Acting DHS Secretary Says Biden Manipulating Border Stats

Current and former U.S. officials warn of Biden’s manipulation of border statistics. It incentivizing Illegal aliens to seek parole and asylum at ports-of-entry instead of illegally crossing the southern frontier, and blinding border agents by restricting the use of surveillance balloons.

Chad Wolf, former acting Homeland Security Secretary, told the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show Tuesday revealed that the policy changes will create a false perception to the American public that the border crisis is under control. It has actually shifted tactics.

“They’re just simply moving them from the desert or across the river into a port of entry,” The former Trump administration official stated this. “But the result remains the same, which is they are doing nothing to deter this type of behavior. And they continue to incentivize and encourage it.”

In the aftermath of American alarm over a Chinese spy balloon that violated U.S. air space, Wolf said he was deeply concerned that the Biden administration last week thwarted Customs and Border Protection agents’ ability to track so-called gotaways — illegal aliens who elude border patrol agents — by Reduced use of surveillance balloons Also known as aerostats.

“They announced last week they are reducing the number of aerostats that the Border Patrol uses, which are big balloons,” Wolf elaborated. They are another type, not Chinese, of balloons that they use at that border to gain domain awareness, so they can understand what’s happening across the border. And they track gotaways with that  technology as well.

“So you’re also going to see in the next several months the number of gotaways go significantly down, not because there are less of them, but because the department now has less capability to track them.” 

Many current Homeland officials confirmed that the Biden Administration’s two changes will change the official illegal migration statistics, but they won’t slow down the problem.

One of the key changes was an announcement by Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that as many as 30,000 illegal migrants will be allowed to receive “parole” While asylum claims are being considered, entry to ports of entry is permitted. Texas is the leader of nearly two dozen states that have already Sued to claim that the policy is illegal under current U.S. immigration law.

Former CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan, who served both Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, said the Biden administration was driving down illegal migration statistics — the number fell by about 100,000 between December and January — “through a perversion and violation of the law.”

“This is why we’re calling it a shell game,” Morgan explained. “Because of this administration Secretary Mayorkas simply made a deal to migrants from all over the world, 171 countries. They stated, “Look, in return for you stopping illegally entering and filing fraudulent claims, we’ll allow you to get on the CBP smartphone app, make an appointment, and come to a port to enter, where we’ll continue to look the other direction as you continue to file fraudulent claim. We will continue processing and releasing you in the United States.

“They simply shifted the crisis from in between the borders, to the ports of entry.” 

New polling The new policies are intended to address the political problem of the 2024 election, which shows that Americans are becoming more critical of Biden’s immigration policies. Only Gallup poll: 28% of Americans were surveyed this month reported they are satisfied with current immigration levels.

After the Biden administration announced that it would restrict illegal immigration surveillance balloons, the union representing border patrol agents made fun of the Chinese spy balloon episode. “China watching our border more closely than the Biden Admin,” The National Border Patrol Council Tweet.

Wolf stated that the parole policy changes would likely lower illegal immigration statistics by at least 360,000 this fiscal year.

“You can show up at the border or show up at a port of entry and be released into the United States,” He said. “So the result, unfortunately, is the same, which is hundreds of thousands, millions of folks are being released into the United States under a false asylum claim.”
