‘Every Single Classic Indicator Of Deception’: Megyn Kelly Rips Hunter Biden Over CBS Interview

Independent journalist Megyn Kelly slammed Hunter Biden and big tech companies after Biden seemed to avoid answering questions about his alleged laptop.

Biden sat for an interview with CBS News’ Tracy Smith that aired on Sunday, and claimed the he has “no idea” whether the laptop, which revealed many of his alleged emails with business associates and other information, was his or not. He has not flatly denied the authenticity of the laptop or information reported from it.

“This has every single classic indicator of deception. Twitter & Facebook should be utterly embarrassed to have run cover for this guy,” Kelly said on Sunday.

In the interview, Biden said that the laptop “could be” his, or it could have been a plant by Russian agents.

“For real, I don’t know. I really don’t know what the answer is. That’s the truthful answer,” Biden told Smith. “Of course, certainly [it could have been my laptop]. There could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me. It could be I was hacked. It could be that it was Russian intelligence.”

In October weeks before the presidential election, Facebook and Twitter took steps to censor a story from The New York Post on information found on the laptop. Facebook claimed that it had restricted the story’s spread until the company could fact-check the claims in the article. Twitter censored the story completely claiming that it violated the platform’s policy against publishing hacked materials, a decision that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey later said was “wrong.”

Later on in the interview, Biden addressed an ongoing Department of Justice investigation into his taxes. While he refused to say specifically what he is being investigated for, he asserted that the investigation would clear him of any alleged “wrongdoing.”

“I can say this. I am cooperating completely, and I am absolutely certain, 100% certain, that at the end of the investigation, that I will be cleared of any wrongdoing,” Biden said. “I am 100% certain of it and all I can do is cooperate and trust in the process.”

Biden revealed in December that the DOJ was investigating his “tax affairs” after months of questions around his overseas business dealings in countries such as Ukraine and China in the run-up to and after the 2020 election.

“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Biden said in a statement. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

The President-Elect Joe Biden responded to the revelation that his son was under federal investigation in a statement put out by his team: “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”
