Even ABC Throws in the Towel, Busts Biden as Some Try to Spin His Social Security/Medicare Remarks

Democrats are freaking this morning at the thought of Republicans Joe Biden is a liar, you dare to say During the State of the Union, he claimed that Republicans were pushing for the end of Medicare and Social Security. Some of their media friends are also doing the same.
Kevin McCarthy, the House Speaker (Republican from California), has made it clear that cuts to Medicare and Social Security are not allowed. “off the table.” That’s the position of the Republican Party.
However, Biden and other Democrats have also lied about this. As I wrote previously, Twitter even had to fact-check McCarthy on Sunday when he made the false claim.
House Republicans are planning to cut Social Security, Medicare and other programs. This would put at risk millions of Americans who depend on these programs.
I won’t stand for that. We ought to strengthen these programs – not gut them.

“House Republicans are threatening to cut Social Security and Medicare, putting the dignity of millions of Americans who rely on these programs at risk,” Biden lied. “I won’t stand for that. We ought to strengthen these programs – not gut them.”
His SOTU speech was more measured but still misleading to the American people.
BIDEN: “Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset. I’m not saying it’s the majority.”

Media, for example, are a lot of media. Tommy Christopher at Mediaite, claim that Biden’s statement was incorrect “true” Because he “qualified” it. Christopher was mad at CNN’s Kaitlan Collins for not calling out Rep. Nick LaLota (R-NY) when he said that Biden was “lying.”

But if the GOP has said it isn’t on the table, suggesting that somehow it is or could be isn’t Biden being straight with the American people, it’s Biden being deceptive. Anybody could point to “someone said something at some point” but that’s not the reality of what’s being discussed.
If you want to play that game, it’s Biden who has said some things in the past about wanting to freeze Social Security and Medicare.

Are Democrats “threatening” According to this argument, this is the right time?
Biden is also — presently — targeting Medicare Advantage. Christopher or another media representative will look at it and point out that Biden has proposed cuts/clawbacks which could affect seniors.
Even ABC’s Jon Karl wasn’t buying this argument against the Republicans.

Karl tried to manipulate the GOP’s reaction, but even he said “the stuff he [Biden] said about Social Security was over the top” “there’s nobody seriously talking about sunsetting Social Security in the Republican Party,” However, he was impressed that Biden could convince him of this deceit “with a smile.”
If none is “seriously” Biden seems to be pushing this, so why bring it up? That is the only way to gaslight American citizens. Everyone knows that. That’s not something that anyone should be defending.
