Republicans have charged her with accepting cash from organizations connected to left-wing billionaire financier George Soros, who was charged with giving money to such organizations during the Black Lives Matter unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, approximately ten years ago. According to the Missouri Times, she worked with The Vera Institute of Justice in 2017, which received$ 11 million from Soros’ Open Society Foundations, while in 2016 she received campaign cash from the Safety and Justice Committee.
