Elizabeth Stauffer: The World Is Watching as Democrats Undermine America From Within

New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of former President Donald Trump last week has damaged America’s status as a democratic republic. Although Bragg alone brought the charges, he would not have done so without the full backing of party leaders. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that he acted on behalf of the Democratic Party, which has become increasingly emboldened after avoiding responsibility for numerous unprecedented, unethical, and un-American deeds over many years.
Trump’s indictment will not only affect our domestic politics and justice system but also damage the United States’ moral authority further, causing foreigners to lose respect for the country. Following Trump’s arraignment, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele tweeted that the US has lost its ability to use ‘democracy’ as a foreign policy. The US government used law enforcement as a weapon against a political adversary, which has become a common tactic of authoritarian regimes to maintain their power.
Our reputation has been damaged at a critical time since Biden administration’s foreign policy has caused missteps that have already strengthened Russia and China’s relationship, two of our largest geopolitical adversaries. The problems have been compounded with a Chinese-brokered peace deal that has reestablished diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, our former ally.
The government’s behavior and increasing division and instability have seriously diminished other countries’ respect for the U.S. This was evident in the comments made by Petr Bystron, a member of the Alternative for Germany party, who spoke on the Bundestag floor about the abandonment of traditional American values by the Biden administration. Commenting on these remarks, Stauffer states that it is clear Republicans are not alone in recognizing the Democratic Party’s disregard for American values.
The left has consistently ignored the damage they have caused to the country’s values and freedoms over the past two years, and it seems the majority of Americans remain unaware of their actions. In November 2020, voters had the opportunity to make their voices heard, but the red wave turned out to be a trickle.
Republicans need to play hardball to stem the tide of rampant leftism. They must look at the actions of Democratic operatives in their jurisdictions; expose the alleged foreign influence-peddling scheme of the Biden family, question Dr. Anthony Fauci under oath, and prepare for early voting and ballot harvesting to win future elections. In short, the tactics the Democrats use need to be employed against them.
