Dutch Farmers are being screwed by environmentalists

God created the universe, but the Dutch made Holland. This truism has guided Dutch identity, and its republican virtue. It was originally reclaimed from the sea by the Dutch ingenious people. Since then, these farmers and farms have provided food for generations to the Dutch people and Europe.

Potter was 22 when the painting was completed and not quite 30 when it was finished. The Bull is revered for its size, detail, and realistic portrayal of animals, as well as its unique monumental image of an animal. It is considered a symbol of prosperity and the Dutch nation. 

Partly due to the Dutch Republic’s creation after the defeat of Spanish rule in the Netherlands, the Dutch Golden Age was born. The tiny Dutch Republic was a cultural and naval power, as well as a global naval power. The Dutch were classical liberals who believed in individual liberty, such as freedom of speech, religion, and association. 

The Dutch Republic was noted as a country that had a high degree of economic vibrancy and innovating, including the creation of stock and commodity markets. The new bourgeoisie created the first modern marketplace for artists to trade their work. This freed them from the need for commissions from the Church or the aristocracy. This can be seen in the Dutch Golden Age art, which depicts everyday life. Potter’s painting is from this era. 

However, his work also reveals another truth. Without its farms, the Dutch Golden Age would not have been possible. Food is the cornerstone of any civilization. The Dutch government has announced that it will close up to 3,000 farms in its quest for a better future. ‘’nitrogen crisis’’ is so puzzling.
