Special Counsel John Durham Finds FBI Ignored Evidence in Trump-Russia Collusion Narrative

President Trump Calls Out FBI Scam on Truth Social

On Monday, May 17, 2023, Special Counsel John Durham released a report stating that the FBI “discounted or willfully ignored material information that did not support the narrative of a collusive relationship between Trump and Russia.” Durham found that the FBI failed to uphold its mission of “strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities.”

Despite these findings, Durham did not recommend any new charges. However, President Donald Trump called out the FBI scam on Truth Social, stating that “The American Public was scammed.”

Chris Farrell: “Trump is a Crime Victim”

Chris Farrell, director of investigations at Judicial Watch, was blunt in his assessment, stating that “Trump is a crime victim.” Farrell believes that this report will be a disappointment unless further action is taken.

Durham admonished the FBI for relying on evidence from Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign to launch Crossfire Hurricane, the codename for the FBI investigation into alleged links between Trump and Russian officials. Specifically, Durham says the CIA, then-President Barack Obama, and then-Vice President Joe Biden were all aware of the Clinton campaign plan.

Farrell labeled this, and subsequent meetings, a “criminal conspiracy aimed at Trump.”

Double Standard in FBI’s Treatment of Trump and Clinton Campaigns

Durham highlighted that the FBI’s interest in the Trump campaign was “markedly different” from its interest in the Clinton campaign. Farrell blasted the FBI for this apparent double standard, pointing out that then “What if the Clinton Foundation had received the same level of scrutiny, degree of investigative effort as the phony hoax against Trump?”

Farrell criticized the mainstream media’s coverage of the Russia hoax, saying it has been “actively suppressed.”

Accountability for Actors Involved

Farrell says there must be accountability for actors involved at the end of the day. He would love to see what the statute of limitations are on some of these crimes so that if there’s a new president in 2024 with a new attorney general, there’s an ability to go back and actually prosecute some of these cases.
