Dr. Oz Makes Final Pitch as Voters Head to the Polls

Today, voters in
Pennsylvania
head to the polls. Here is why I believe I’m the best choice to be the next United States Senator from Pennsylvania, and why it’s so important for everyone to go out and vote.

My father, who grew up on a dirt floor, is the ultimate embodiment of the American dream. From him, I learned that, through hard work and resilience, I could achieve that same American dream. Today, I see that spirit of the American dream fading. Failed leadership has put our country on the wrong track, and career politicians are chipping away at the freedoms we enjoy.

PARENTAL RIGHTS TAKE THE MIDTERM SPOTLIGHT IN THESE MAJOR SCHOOL BOARD RACES

I decided to run for U.S.
Senate
because, like so many Pennsylvanians, I was troubled with the direction our country is headed. Reckless, nonsensical spending sent our economy into a downward spiral; soft-on-crime policies left law enforcement run-down and allowed violent crime to skyrocket nationwide, leaving our cities in a state of lawlessness; and weak immigration policies caused humanitarian and national security crises at the southern border, in addition to an influx of illicit fentanyl flooding into our communities and killing our children.

I traveled the Commonwealth and listened to Pennsylvanians voice concerns about these issues — that’s what doctors do. I’m running for U.S. Senate to help fix those issues — that’s also what doctors do.

My approach is the opposite of Democratic candidate
John Fetterman
’s. Rather than listen to voters about issues that matter — issues that his party has gotten wrong — Fetterman posts clever, 140-character tweets and avoids addressing his extreme policies.

Extremism on both sides is why Washington does not work for the American public, and I’m running to bring balance to the Senate. Make no mistake: Fetterman will be another extremist, not an effective voice for Pennsylvania. He has promised to be Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) “51st vote” in the Senate, but I will be Pennsylvania’s vote.

Fetterman’s extremist policies know no bounds. While crime plagues our Commonwealth, he hopes to release one-third of Pennsylvania’s prison population, end life sentences for murderers, and eliminate cash bail. Just look at his record: He’s pardoned dozens of convicted murderers as chairman of the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons.

While 40-year high inflation raises the cost of necessities for Pennsylvania families, Fetterman wants to spend even more taxpayer money and would vote for legislation that raises taxes on hardworking Pennsylvanians. On energy, Fetterman hopes to ban fracking and called the industry a “stain” on Pennsylvania, even as gas prices remain high and the cost of heating your home this winter ticks upwards. And when it comes to the crisis at our southern border, which has allowed fentanyl to pour into our communities and left our Customs and Border Protection overrun, Fetterman has made it clear that he opposes securing the border and wants to decriminalize all drugs.

All of Fetterman’s views on important issues are extreme and do not represent Pennsylvania. Partisan extremism is the way in Washington and Fetterman would fit right in.

As voters head to the polls today, I want to ask Pennsylvanians just one question: Are you happy with the direction that the country is headed? If you are not — as I am not — I ask you to send a loud and clear message to failed leaders by electing new leadership to the Senate.

Today’s election marks a unique opportunity for Pennsylvania to help put our country back on track. I’m asking for your vote.
