Donald Trump indicted: MTG to protest ‘unprecedented abuse’ of justice system in New York

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) plans to protest the indictment of former President Donald Trump on Tuesday. Greene has been a vocal supporter of Trump after his indictment on Thursday. She intends to travel to New York on Tuesday to protest the alleged “unprecedented abuse of our justice system.”

According to Greene, protesting is a constitutional right, and she stands against tyranny and corruption while showing support for President Trump. She tweeted, “We will not live in fear and we will lawfully stand against tyranny and corruption while we show our support for President Trump.”

Greene’s initial announcement of her plans to protest came on Friday when she tweeted “protest the unconstitutional WITCH HUNT!” It is unknown how many pro-Trump protesters will join her in New York or if they plan to protest around where Trump will be taken into custody.

Greene emphasized that it’s time to change the narrative surrounding politics. She tweeted, “Our side chants ‘lock her up’ and their side is going to get a mug shot based on a witch hunt. It’s time to change that. Gloves are off.”
