Donald Trump Jr. praised georgia gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson on social media, emphasizing that his comments were not an endorsement of Lt. Gov. burt Jones, Trump’s preferred candidate in the race. Jackson and Jones are competing in a runoff after neither secured over 50% in the primary. Trump Jr. highlighted Jackson’s efforts to support America Frist policies, such as keeping drug manufacturing domestic and investing in oil. He clarified that both candidates represent the MAGA movement and sees any victory as a win for Trump’s agenda. Meanwhile, Governor Brian Kemp endorsed Jones shortly before the runoff. Trump’s endorsements have historically helped candidates in primaries, though he has also experienced some recent losses in other races, including in Iowa and Los Angeles.
