DOJ charges Utah USPS worker after 300 ballots allegedly tossed in dumpster
A federal indictment has been brought against Damon Matai seei, a 34-year-old former U.S.Postal Service mail carrier from Utah. He is accused of unlawfully throwing away hundreds of pieces of mail, including approximately 300 mail-in ballots intended for voters in Eagle Mountain prior to the june primary. The charges include destruction and delay of mail, and the indictment was publicly unsealed on September 19. Seei was arrested, appeared in court, and is scheduled for the next hearing on November 30.

A federal grand jury indicted Damon Matai Seei, 34, of Payson, Utah, on Sept. 16 on charges of unlawful secretion, destruction and delay of mail. The indictment was unsealed Tuesday. Seei was arrested and appeared for arraignment at the Orrin G. Hatch U.S. Courthouse, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 30.
