Despite Disney CEO Bob Iger Implying Brand Is Damaged, Star Wars Reportedly Moving Full Steam Ahead On Taika Waititi’s Film

In a classic case of ‘one-step forward, two-steps back’, despite Disney CEO Bob Iger recently implying that all of the company’s brands needed to be “curated” In order to improve their quality, some company insiders claim that Taika Waititi’s Star Wars project was still being worked on by them.

According to sources, Marvel intends to scale back its operations in the coming year. “the pace at which we’re putting out the Disney Plus shows” in an effort to help save the brand and stop it from hemorrhaging of money – “Numbers matter now, and costs are going to be outlined and enforced,” asserted one such source –  Star Wars is allegedly seeking to do just the opposite.

One Disney insider says that the company will not only be looking to capitalize on the planned releases, but also the coming year. AshokaSkeleton CrewAnd Mandalorian Season 3 is underway, but they are actively working with Waititi as well. HBO’s Watchmen Damon Lindelof, creator, to bring their respective projects to fruition.

As mentioned above, this confirms that Thor: Love and Thunder Director’s Star Wars movie is still in development. This comes days after Iger admitted that many of House of Mouse’s largest brands were suffering from oversaturation as well as a shocking lack of quality.

“We have to be better at curating the Disney and the Pixar and the Marvel and the Star Wars of it all as well,” During the company’s annual shareholder meeting, the Disney boss spoke to attendees. Earnings call for Q1 2023 February 8, 2008. “And of course, reduce costs on everything that we make because, while we’re extremely proud of what’s on the screen, it’s gotten to a point where it’s extraordinarily expensive. The aforementioned Disney Star Wars movie is the next Disney release. Mandalorian Season 3 premieres on Disney Plus March 1st.
