DeSantis claims he could beat Biden and win presidency: ‘He’s failed the country’

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida claims he could defeat President Joe Biden if he were to run for the presidency in 2024. In an interview with Piers Morgan on Fox Nation, DeSantis expressed confidence that he would win against Biden.

DeSantis went on to say that he would focus on Biden, whom he believes has failed the country, rather than competing with former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. DeSantis outlined his roadmap for winning the general election, stating that he would need to appeal to more than just Republicans, but also independents and some Democrats. DeSantis won independents by 18 points in the 2022 midterm elections in Florida.

DeSantis said his experience as governor had prepared him well for the presidency. He contrasted his governorship, which included tough-on-crime laws, combating woke ideology, and fiscal responsibility, with what he believes are inefficient practices in Washington.

When asked if he would run for president, DeSantis would not give a definite answer but heavily implied he would. He said, “Stay tuned,” which was the same answer Nikki Haley gave before announcing her campaign.

However, DeSantis believes he has what it takes to become president, which includes having a vision for the country, exercising leadership, and being willing to stand firm under pressure.
