Democrats want to lower the age of consent to 12 for medical and mental treatment.

Exciting News: Minors Can Now Access Medical Care Without Parental Consent!

In some parts of the United States, minors as young as 12 can now receive medical treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), mental health counseling, vaccines, and even abortions without their parents’ knowledge. This groundbreaking legislation was introduced during the pandemic and has been gaining momentum ever since.

Connecticut, for example, recently passed a law allowing minors of any age to have an abortion without telling their parents. Meanwhile, Maryland has been allowing 12-year-olds to attend therapy sessions without parental consent since 2021. And this is just the beginning!

The District of Columbia Council introduced the first law in the country that allows 11-year-olds to get vaccinated without parental approval. And now, Vermont is considering joining four other states that have already passed legislation allowing children as young as 12 to be treated for STDs.

While some may see this as a positive step towards protecting teenagers’ confidentiality, others are outraged. Several Republicans have expressed their concerns, with one conservative even comparing this legislation to the infamous “Bud Light” moment. Meanwhile, longtime conservative activist Shannon McLamb believes that this is part of a bigger agenda to push pedophilia and incest.

Regardless of where you stand on this issue, it’s clear that the world is changing rapidly. Organizations like Planned Parenthood and the Department of Health and Human Services are advocating for lowering the age of medical consent to protect teenagers’ privacy. So, what do you think? Should minors be able to access medical care without their parents’ knowledge? Let us know in the comments below!
