Democrats believe a Trump assassination probably ‘the right thing to do’: Joe Concha

Joe Concha, a Washington Examiner columnist, highlighted a concerning pattern of political violence and rhetoric among Democrats, including some justifying assassination attempts against President Donald Trump. He referenced a poll indicating that over half of Democratic voters believe teh assassination of Trump might be somewhat justified, which Concha deems dangerously wrong. Data from the Network contagion Research Institute revealed that a significant percentage of respondents even considered murder of Elon Musk and Trump at least somewhat justified, especially among those who self-identify as left of center.Concha pointed to instances like the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and the support for Luigi Mangione, accused of killing a CEO, as examples of this troubling trend. He criticized social media for amplifying hatred and inciting violence, emphasizing that such rhetoric is becoming normalized and could worsen unless addressed globally.

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said “there is a pattern” of political violence from Democrats, some of them even justifying assassination attempts against President Donald Trump.

“56% of those who vote Democrat believe that the assassination of President Trump would be at least quote ‘somewhat justified’ unquote. Think about that. A majority of people form a certain persuasion here in this country believe that the sitting president of the United States, if he were taken out, ‘well, that probably is the right thing to do,’ and that’s just obviously a very, very big whole bowl of wrong,” Concha said, referencing a poll from The Network Contagion Research Institute and Rutgers University on Fox News’s Fox & Friends First on Friday.

The NCRI used survey data and intelligence analysis to identify that “31% and 38% of respondents stated it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk and President Trump, respectively.”

“These effects were driven by respondents that self-identified as left of center, with 50% and 56% at least somewhat justifying murder for Elon Musk and President Trump, respectively,” the report read.

“There is a pattern here, there’s no question about it,” Concha said.

Concha highlighted the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University.

“You see, especially online, people celebrating the murder of a father of two very young children, while he was debating people in doing what the First Amendment is supposed to be all about in terms of the open exchange of ideas and perspectives,” Concha said.

Concha also underscored the hordes of people supporting Luigi Mangione, the man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

“[Mangione] has now raised over a million dollars on GoFundMe because people think that what he did was justified,” Concha said.

Concha emphasized that this rhetoric being pushed on social media is part of the problem.

“Social media obviously just stirs up this hatred more and more, and that’s just the way it goes, I think there’s a lot of TDS out there,” Concha said.

“This is becoming a new normal, and unless this reverses on an international level, not just here, it’s only going to get worse.”
