Democratic presidential hopefuls set to discuss party’s future
A gathering of 2028 Democratic presidential contenders is scheduled in Denver after teh midterm elections to discuss the party’s future strategies. the attendees include notable figures such as former Transportation Secretary Pete buttigieg, former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, several senators (Ruben Gallego, Chris Murphy, Raphael Warnock, Elissa Slotkin), Governors Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger, and other congressional members. The event is organized by Majority Democrats, a group focused on reshaping and strengthening the Democratic Party to compete nationwide.
A slate of 2028 Democratic presidential contenders is set to gather in Denver following the midterm elections to discuss the party’s future.
The group will reportedly include former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and former Chicago Mayor and Obama White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, along with multiple senators, including Sens. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Chris Murphy (D-CT), Raphael Warnock (D-GA), and Elissa Slotkin (D-MI). Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) and Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) are also set to speak, as well as some members of Congress, at the event hosted by Majority Democrats, a group “committed to reshaping and growing the Democratic Party so that it can compete everywhere.”
