Lovato Sees No Point In Christianity

Lovato, who was promoting Holy Fvck this summer, told the Los Angeles Times She doesn’t believe in Christianity, even though she was raised Baptist.

“I don’t believe in organized religion anymore,” She spoke. “My God is the universe. It’s so much bigger than me, or us.”

Lovato however said that her song had been censored by the government in a bizarre twist. “Holy Fvck” Is “actually based on a Bible verse.”

“Matthew 5:30 says, ‘If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off; [for] it’s better to lose one part of your body than your entire body to hell.’ That was a Bible verse I heard since I was young — too young to know what masturbation was,” She continued. “And now, I have my own [line of] sex toys. Masturbation can be a form of self-care, it’s not something to be ashamed of at all.”

Lovato Blames the Church for her sexuality being suppressed

The song is meant to showcase Lovato’s journey from being a Baptist to being sexually free, according to her.

“I did my exploring when I was a teenager, but I wasn’t clear on [sexuality] until I was about 24,” She explained. “I think the reason was [that] the church instilled in me that it was wrong, and I hated that.”

It’s blatantly obvious that Lovato’s goal is to offend Christians with her art, so we applaud the ASA for banning her disgusting posters. We will pray for Lovato because she is a young woman who needs God’s help.
