Lib Sen Says SAVE Act Would ‘Make It Hard’ For Dems To Win
Senator Elissa Slotkin, a Democrat from Michigan, openly admitted that her party opposes the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act as it would make elections more secure by requiring proof of U.S. citizenship and voter ID, which could hinder Democrats’ electoral chances. She claimed the bill would “rig” elections against Democrats,a point criticized by Republicans who view it as necessary for election integrity, preventing illegal votes, and reducing ineligible voters on rolls. Slotkin falsely alleged that the bill would disenfranchise women,a claim widely debunked and condemned as misleading and sexist. The House has passed the bill multiple times, but it remains blocked in the Senate due to Democrat opposition. Critics argue that Democrats’ stance favors easier voting over election security, implying that their opposition is motivated by a desire to maintain electoral advantage rather than electoral integrity.
Leftist Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., has lost a lot of weight in recent months. She hasn’t gained any integrity.
At a town hall with constituents, the Michigan Democrat said the quit part out loud, explaining why her party opposes the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, also known as the SAVE America Act. The legislative package would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and photo identification to cast a ballot, and it would demand states clean up their dirty voter rolls. As The Federalist has reported, the vast majority of voters in poll after poll support the election integrity reforms.
So why has almost every Democrat in the House voted against it, and why is every Democrat in the Senate blocking the bill from reaching the floor for an up or down vote?
Slotkin explained what we’ve known for some time: Democrats are much more concerned about making it easier to vote than they are about making it hard to cheat. Democrats, as Slotkin unwittingly noted, lose elections when elections are secured.
“The other thing that we blocked yesterday was the SAVE Act,” the liberal said to a burst of applause. “[The act] would literally allow this administration to rig our democracy so that it would be hard for any Democrat in any state to win an election.”

Does she mean “rig” like Democrats and their Big Tech buddies and leftwing activists did in 2020? Rig like they tried to do when they forced then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump off 2024 primary ballots before the Supreme Court unanimously rejected their actual disenfranchising act? Or rig like the Biden administration did with Bidenbucks, using untold American taxpayer dollars for a federalized Democrat get-out-the-vote campaign leading up to the 2024 election?
No, rigging to Slotkin and her party means election integrity, particularly laws that ensure illegal aliens and other noncitizens don’t vote in U.S. elections and that ineligible voters don’t remain on state voter rolls.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, an election integrity warrior and lead on the SAVE Act asked an understandable question.
“Are Dems admitting that they can’t win without noncitizen votes?” he wrote on a X post from TheBlaze highlighting the clip.
‘You Are Proving Their Point’
In her diatribe about the legislation, Slotkin echoed one of several false Dem talking point , that the SAVE Act would “disenfranchise all married women.”
“This talking point from the Left is not only false, but it also paints women as incapable, which we all know is not the case,” Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., wrote in response to Slotkin’s ludicrous assertion on the original post from Breitbart News.
“Showing up to the polls to vote with an ID that proves you’re an American citizen – whether you’re married or not – is common sense,” Paul added. “We need to pass the SAVE America Act.”

The Republican-controlled House has passed the SAVE Act on party-line votes on three separate occasions. The bill, however, has languished in the Senate thanks to a Democrat filibuster and some RINOs refusal to fight it.
As an X account named Just Call Me Jaded summed it up, “If you vote for the people who think you are too dumb to get an ID you are proving their point.”
Or, in the words of Forrest Gump, “Stupid is as stupid does.” But the politicians beating the anti-election integrity drumbeat aren’t stupid. They’re manipulative, and they will stop at nothing to take back power — and keep it.
