Defense Officials Claim “No Evidence” Ukraine Mishandling U.S. Weapons

Officials from the Department of Defense insist that there is no evidence of misuse or diversion of the billions of US dollars worth of weapons and security aid sent to Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Tuesday’s hearing by the House Armed Services Committee was held to question defense officials regarding Ukraine’s use of weapons and the possibility that billions of dollars in United States aid to the war-torn region could have been misused or not tracked.

Rep. Mike Johnson (Republican from Louisiana) asked defense officials about tracking weapons and equipment sent to Ukraine. He also asked if they believed that U.S. inspectors should have been on the ground to track the shipments.
