Hunter Biden Ordered to Reveal Art and Investment Income in $750K Child Support Case

An Arkansas judge has ordered Hunter Biden to disclose financial information regarding his art sales and investment income as part of a child support case. Lawyers for President Joe Biden’s son claim that he has already paid $750,000 to the mother of his estranged daughter.

The Background

The child in question, Navy Joan Roberts, was born in Arkansas in August 2018 to Hunter Biden and Lunden Alexis Roberts. The now-4-year-old child was conceived while Hunter Biden was in a relationship with Hallie Biden, his brother Beau Biden’s widow. Despite initially denying that the child was his, a DNA test proved otherwise.

What’s Happening Now?

Judge Holly Lodge Meyer has ordered Roberts and Hunter Biden to sit for depositions in June, during which Hunter Biden will need to answer detailed questions about his income. The New York Post reports that he will also need to respond to written inquiries about his finances, including all of his investments, art sales, and other relevant financial transactions.

Although Hunter Biden appeared in court on Monday, he did not speak. His lawyer, Abbe Lowell, told the court that he is currently paying Roberts $20,000 a month and has already paid $750,000 in child support.

Clinton Lancaster, a lawyer for Roberts, argued in December that “the defendant is attempting to stifle discovery into his financial affairs while simultaneously reducing his child support obligation on the claim that he now earns less income.”

What’s Next?

Hunter Biden has requested a reduction in his child support payments, and a trial to determine whether his obligation can be adjusted is scheduled for July.
