Daily Wire’s Candace Owens Reveals How She Brought BLM Founder To Tears With A Polite Request For Comment

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors has a burgeoning real estate portfolio, the ears of woke corporations throughout the country, and … a very thin skin.

The beleaguered activist, whose California home-buying spree last year raised questions, accused The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens of harassing her and putting her family in danger in a tearful Instagram post. But Owens on Saturday released video of her May 7 visit to Cullors’ home, and it’s hard to see what the fuss was about.

“Hello,” Owens begins, apparently talking to a guard from outside a gate in front of Cullors’ home. “I was just looking to speak to whomever was at this property, because it’s listed as a Black Lives Matter property. Sir? Hello? We’re not trying to harass you. We’ll gladly leave. We’re just wondering if we can speak to anybody.”

Whatever the guard says in reply is inaudible, but Owens ends the exchange on a pleasant note.

“Thank you, sir,” she says. “Have a great day.”

Owens posted her side of the exchange after Cullors went on social media to claim she’d been harassed by The Daily Wire podcast star.

“This morning I woke up to Candace Owens being outside of my house with a news crew,” Cullors claimed. “She was demanding that I come outside. The fact that she came outside my house and demanded things [and] harassed me is unacceptable.”

Then Cullors tearfully pleaded for her loved ones to be kept safe, apparently from polite requests from members of the media.

“Y’all, I really need my family to be safe,” she said in the Instagram post. “I need to be safe. I need my child to be safe. And this, what happened this morning, is not safety.”

Owens posted the entire exchange on Twitter, cutting back and forth between her comments from outside the home and Cullors’ characterization of it.

“I am pre-releasing the footage of me showing up at one of Black Lives Matter founder’s, Patrisse Cullors, multiple mansions,” Owens tweeted. “Remember she fake cried and said I harassed her? LIAR. I kindly spoke to a white security guard (who remained silent) through a gate.”

“Sunlight is the best disinfectant,” Owens added.

Last year, it was revealed that Cullors has purchased four houses in California since 2016 for a total of $3.2 million. Cullors said she paid for the homes, including the $1.4 million home in Topanga Canyon Owens visited, with money earned from being a college professor, TV producer, and author of  two books. She said she bought them to “take care” of members of her family, and has adamantly denied using BLM proceeds to buy the homes.

More recently, it was revealed that a mansion BLM paid $6 million for in LA’s tony Laurel Canyon, was used by Cullors on special occasions including parties to celebrate President Biden’s inauguration and her son’s birthday. Cullors, who resigned as BLM’s executive director a year ago, was later billed for the use of the home, according to BLM.

Cullors acknowledged in an Associated Press interview that she should never have used the compound in that way.

“I look back at that and think, that probably wasn’t the best idea,” she said.
