Cruz: Dems’ 2024 plan is to ‘hate Trump’ despite Biden’s ‘spectacular’ mess.

Get Ready for a Wild Ride in 2024 Election Cycle, Says Ted Cruz

Sen.
Ted Cruz
(R-TX) suggests that the 2024 election cycle is going to be an unprecedented ride.

“It’s going to be wild and woolly,” Cruz told Hannity, commenting on the highly anticipated Republican matchup
between former President Donald Trump and Gov.
Ron DeSantis
(R-FL).

Cruz also noted the apparent crumbling support for President
Joe Biden’s
reelection.

“I will say,” Cruz said, “do you think it’s a bad sign for Joe Biden when
Hillary Clinton is saying he’s old and corrupt?”

The Texas senator admitted he used to think Biden would not have the Democrats’ support for a second presidential term,
but Cruz said he now believes the Left’s strategy includes Biden as their nominee.

“I now think he’s likely to be the Democrat nominee because I think the Democrats think Trump is going to be the
Republican nominee,” Cruz noted. “And I think the way Democrats think — they think if Trump’s the nominee, they can hide
Biden in a basement for two years and just run on how much they hate Trump.”

“I think that if, at any point in the coming months, Democrats suddenly think it’s going to be anybody but Trump, I think
they’ll throw Joe to the curb and try to find someone younger because Joe, at this point — the guy can’t tie his shoes
without assistance,” Cruz added.

Cruz also blasted Biden for creating a “spectacular” mess of the United States.

“Is there any aspect of public life that doesn’t suck more than it did four years ago?” Cruz asked. “Like it really is
spectacular.”

“In our entire lives, have we seen a president screw the country up more in two years than Joe Biden? Like, everything is
worse,” Cruz continued. “Domestic, economic, foreign policy.”

Over the weekend, Cruz accused Biden of playing politics with
debt ceiling
negotiations, suggesting the president is “willing to tank the economy” instead of accepting spending clawbacks.
