Media Corruption: Democrats Use Lies to Avoid Election Accountability

Have you been hearing a lot about threats against election workers lately? It seems like every news outlet has been publishing articles on the topic, including The Hill and USA Today. But are these threats really as widespread as they’re being made out to be? According to President Joe Biden’s own Department of Justice (DOJ), the answer is no.

Back in July 2021, the DOJ launched a task force to address the alleged rise in threats against election workers. The task force was designed to receive and assess allegations and reports of threats and work with U.S. attorneys’ offices and the FBI to investigate and prosecute these offenses where appropriate. As part of the initiative, the DOJ also launched an election worker hotline where individuals can report suspected threats or acts of violence against election workers.

But here’s the thing: the DOJ didn’t include any data to justify its claim that there was a rise in threats against election workers. And when Kenneth A. Polite Jr., the assistant attorney general for the criminal division of the Department of Justice, testified before the Democrat-controlled Senate in August 2022, he claimed that the DOJ’s Election Threats Task Force had reviewed and assessed roughly 1,000 allegedly threatening and harassing communications directed toward election officials. However, a DOJ press release issued just two days prior revealed that only about 11 percent of those contacts met the threshold for a federal criminal investigation.

So, while there are certainly cases of threats being made against election workers, the relentless narrative pushed by the corporate press that it’s a widespread problem is simply not true. Don’t just take our word for it – even the DOJ has all but admitted so.In a country of over 331 million people, the Department of Justice (DOJ) received roughly 1,000 calls alleging threats toward election workers in the span of a year. However, only about 11 percent of these cases warranted a federal investigation, and the number of individual investigations was less than 5% of the total number of reported contacts. The DOJ confirmed that only five individuals had been charged with any type of crime as of their August 2022 press release. So, why are legacy media and Democrats pushing the false narrative that election workers are under constant attack? The answer is simple: to further their political agenda.

For Democrats, the strategy is two-fold. First, they want to perpetuate the narrative that “MAGA Republicans” represent an existential threat to democracy, while they are the party of virtue, “voting rights,” and normalcy. By painting their political opponents as extremists, they hope to sway moderates and independents to their side. Second, they want to discourage conservatives with legitimate concerns about election integrity from partaking in completely legal forms of electoral oversight.

Ahead of the 2022 midterms, for instance, the Republican National Committee recruited over 70,000 new poll watchers and workers to “help deliver the election transparency that voters deserve.” However, Democrats went ballistic, parroting the same “threat to democracy” talking point. Unlike Democrats, Republicans welcome transparency in the electoral process. The attempt by legacy media and leftist politicos to spin a false narrative about conservatives threatening election workers on a grand scale is an attempt to avoid accountability at the ballot box and cast their political opponents as extremists.The enemies of democracy are at it again, using a playbook filled with lies and smears. But for Democrats, this is nothing new. It’s time to stand up and fight back against these tactics that threaten the very foundation of our democracy. And while we’re at it, let’s not forget to keep an eye on the Department of Justice, election workers, poll observers, and all those who would seek to suppress the voices of Republican voters.
